ABOUT
Ms. Land is a member of the Environmental Insurance Coverage Practice Group. She specializes in environmental insurance coverage and environmental litigation and regulation involving contaminants of concern such as per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), perchlorate, and asbestos.
EXTENDED PROFILE
In law school, Ms. Land competed against the nation’s best trial advocacy teams with the Villanova Law School National Trial Team, with whom she placed first in the region and fourth in the country for trial advocacy. Ms. Land was also a student attorney with Villanova Law School’s Clinic for Asylum, Refugee, and Emigrant Services (CARES), where she advised clients on asylum, visa, and other immigration issues. Ms. Land later served as a Certified Legal Extern with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and Defender Association of Philadelphia, where she reviewed the appealability of potential wrongful conviction cases under the Post Conviction Relief Act (PCRA) and represented criminal defendants in court at the Junita Kidd Scout Center for Criminal Justice, respectively. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Linda Carpenter in the Civil Division of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Outside of law school, Ms. Land volunteered as a pro bono Spanish Interpreter with Philly VIP, where she translated communications between English-speaking attorneys and their Spanish-speaking clients in matters involving adoption, guardianship, and wills & trusts. Ms. Land’s practice experience prior to joining Langsam Stevens Silver & Hollaender also included Merger & Acquisition (M&A), securities, and consumer defense litigation.
